For this Paper I’ve chosen to cover the use of Battle Ships by the United States Navy during the 20th Century.

Scholarship Paper:
The Scholarship Paper requires the student
(1) to critically analyze primary resources and
(2) to research related secondary sources when developing the paper. The Scholarship Paper provides each student with the opportunity to develop research and writing skills as well as synthesize knowledge about an important subject.  Your thesis statement must be 1 – 5 sentences in length and clearly define your historical argument.
Your outline must include at least three main topics and three subtopics for each of the main ones.
Failure to submit a topic or write on a topic that is not approved will result in a failing grade for the paper. The paper
will be 8 – 10 pages of text, Times New Roman 12-point font, double spaced. Citations and Bibliography will be in the
Chicago style.
