One thing I learned about nutrition through the lifestyle that surprised me is that there is so much more to having a healthy lifestyle rather than just eating healthy and drinking water. Other than these two very important things we must also have a good night’s rest and make sure that we are also taking time for our mental health and clarity. I will use what I learned in this chapter and apply it to my everyday life by making sure I’m certain of what my goals are when wanting to get fit and of course look my best. I would also look into seeing if my iron levels are well and consider taking a vitamin to make sure that there aren’t any issues with my value in iron. I’m also now more aware of the amount a pregnant woman would need and can use this in my everyday job because I work in Pediatrics and do see a lot of women who are planning to or who are pregnant.

Some things I am doing well are making sure to eat a good amount of food and getting a good amount of exercise. Something I am doing well in is consuming a decent amount of fish and supplements which is crucial to having a for someone who has PCOS like me. I am also doing well by drinking an adequate amount of water and making sure to stay hydrated especially now that it’s getting warmer. I really need to work on having a more balanced breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I practice intermittent fasting which helps me with insulin spikes but I need to plan my meals in order to not feel so hungry on certain days.
