Identify a significant work of art outside of your own cultural or social identities. How you define “significant” or “your cultural/social identities” is up to you. But please understand the definitions of those terms – DO NOT make up your own.
You may watch a film (shorts or a feature), read a piece of literature (poem or short story), visit a museum or gallery, listen to a musical work, etc. In art, the options are quite endless! Whatever you choose, be deliberate and genuinely interested.
Record your initial reactions to the piece (write down your observations, feelings, and connections) immediately after engagement for the best analytic results. Overall, write a one-page (no more, no less) reflection of the art. This is not an analysis per se, but instead this assignment is intended for self-reflection.
What I want to know:
1. Title, “author”, and year the work was created.
2. Your observations.
3. How the work made you feel.
4. How you connect to the work.
5. Something new that you learned.
I didnt realize I had this assignment until now I know this is silly
