Please read, review and study the materials posted in the course week on the Beck Depression Inventory and the Beck Anxiety Scale.  What are your impressions of these popular assessments?  What did the developers of this instrument do to help professionals better understand the scores one makes on them?  Do you think they are good measures of what they say they measure?

Many types of records and personal documents are useful in the assessment process. Briefly define each of the 3 listed below and what it is used for.  How do you see that each of these might be helpful to you in your as a future mental health counselor and give a specific example of each.  (a) biographical inventory;  (b) genogram;  and (c) environmental assessment.

Realizing that your thoughts and opinions may change over time, which of the assessment approaches above do you lean most favorably toward at this point in time?  Tell us about this in a few sentences.
