Your assignment for this thread is to design and conduct your own breaching experiment, and then report back to us on the results. You can google “breaching experiment” for ideas if you want to….there are abundant ideas AND goofy videos on the interwebs. But I’d love for you to come up with something truly original. Use as much creativity as you can. In your post, please explain what you did, what social norm you were trying to explore, and what happened when you conducted your experiment.

Important note: please do not break any laws, take actions that contradict COVID social distancing/masking guidelines, or do something that would cause irreparable harm to one of your personal relationships while engaging in this assignment. Use your best judgment and act in ethical ways at all times.

This can be highly entertaining in addition to informative. It’s Sociology as play – have fun with it!
