What connections can you make between our discussions of the housing redlining policies the criminal justice system, politics, and environmental racism? What similar mechanisms are working in all four cases? How do these phenomena build on each other?
Describe your own understanding of how these examples (voting, environment, and health) help describe and define systemic racism? Take some time here to describe how you understand the meaning of “systemic” in systemic racism based on these examples.
