Watch:  The Chinese-language film Hero and take notes on the wuxia elements you observe.  Then, post your response to the discussion question by midnight on Tuesday 11/2.

Discussion Questions:  Discuss at 2-3 specific ways Hero a wuxia film in the narrative, filmic elements and/or characters.  Then, explain one main message that the film conveys through the wuxia elements you have identified.

In answering:

Select one or two sequences and/or characters to analyze as they relate to the wuxia genre. 
Describe the sequences in some detail – focus on the storyline, dialogue, mise-en-scene elements and character actions.
Explain the film’s message clearly and relate it to your discussion of the wuxia genre.
