Thesis: Ever since CNN introduced the world to the 24-hour news cycle it has changed the political world drastically. Politics has become strongly reliant on the 24-hour news cycle, in several ways. 

Some background knowledge just in case you need it:  America was introduced to the 24-hour news cycle by Ted Turner the founder of Cable News Network (CNN). CNN was the worlds first operating 24-hour television news network, where they investigate and report news in a fast pace manner. Television news went from a 1020-minute broadcast to a 24-hour nonstop news cycle.
