Answer the 5 questions. Each write-up should be at least two (2) FULL pages, double-spaced, Times New Roman, Calibri, or Arial, 12 point font. There is no need to cite the primary text, though you should be referencing specific details. Each answer should be on a separate page and numbered with the topic you are writing about.
1. How does the actual story of John Smith and Pocahontas compare with the myth you were taught? Why do you think we continue to teach an incorrect story? How does the myth contribute to what we think of ourselves as American?
2.Why was it so important to have anti-Native propaganda?
3.  Why do the Salem Witch Trials remain such a fascination in modern America?
4.What elements of our society seem to echo the culture that gave rise to the witch trials? Does this seem to be unique to our culture, or is it a part of human nature?
5.  Can you think of a modern piece of music, film, pop culture, etc. that encourages us to “civil disobedience”? Do you think it is effective in its message?
