Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Position on Policy or Practice Assignment

Purpose: You will write a 4-5 page paper in which you look at one workplace policy or practice that you are interested in learning more about to better understand how its implementation can have positive and negative effects in the workplace. The purpose of this assignment is to introduce the policy, share the advantages, and disadvantages of the policy, and the impacts of the policy.

Examples of a Workplace Policies or Practices to Research: You can select one of these or select another policy and practice with the goal of making better the practice of managing a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workforce.

Affinity Leadership Development Programs
Sponsorship or Mentoring Programs
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Employee Training
Vendor/Supplier Diversity Policies
Parental/Bonding Leave
Annual Diversity and Inclusion Surveys
Topic of your choosing that is a policy or practice designed to management a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workforce.

The basic requirements are:

What is the policy or practice?     
Do you have an example of this policy or practice? (You can use your current/previous organization, Metro States policies, SHRM, or a Google search might produce an example of one)
What is the intended purpose of the policy or practice?
Are there certain demographics the policy or practice is intending to target?
What are the advantages of this policy or practice, if any? Please use at least two external references to support the claims.
What are the disadvantages of this policy or practice, if any? Please use at least two external references to support the claims.
Are there any other impacts of the policy or practice that leadership should be aware of?
Conclusion
Anything you would advise companies to continue to do if they have this policy or practice in place?
Anything you would advise companies to stop doing if they have this policy or practice in place?
